The kind of photographer who actually knows how to make you feel comfortable — because making people feel comfortable has been my job for a long time.

Taking a single moment and making it last forever

Timeless photographs

A photographer drawn to the quiet moments — the ones that pass quickly, but mean everything.

Most of what makes my work feel the way it does has nothing to do with my camera. It has to do with years spent in hospitality — listening to people's lives at 9pm on a Tuesday, knowing when to keep the conversation going and when to leave someone alone with their drink. That instinct is everything on a wedding day. It's the difference between a photo that looks beautiful and a photo that actually feels like the two of you.

It's about presence. A glance, a stillness, the way light moves across the room. My job is to notice. Your wedding day is worth more than a photographer who shows up, clicks, and leaves. You deserve someone who knows how to take care of you.

Sarah

Meet the photographer

What working with me actually looks like

Before your session, I'll send over a questionnaire — not a form, exactly, more like a real conversation on paper. I want to know how you actually are together: playful, reserved, slow-burning, hands-on. The way I'll guide you on the day comes directly from what you tell me here.

No two couples are the same, so no two galleries should be either.

Getting to know you

Instead of telling you exactly where to put your hands, I'll ask you to tell each other your favorite moment of the day.
I lean toward gentle prompts over rigid poses. Standing in front of a camera is awkward — I know, I hate it too — so my job is to give you something better to do with your hands and your attention than thinking about the camera in front of you. What comes out of that is real — and almost always more beautiful than anything I could've staged.

Posing

During the ceremony and reception, I'm a quiet observer. I don't pull people out of moments to stage a photo — moments don't survive that. During portraits, I step in with light direction so you actually know what to do with your body. The whole day is a balance between knowing when to disappear and when to gently step forward.

Reading the room

I let the place we're in do some of the work too. A beach can hold a slower, more intimate
session; a city block invites a different kind of playfulness. I plan with the location as much as I plan with you.

Your Story, Your Way

IN THEIR WORDS

Notice that almost every one of these mentions how the day felt — not just how the photos look. That's not an accident.

— S & C

“Sarah was the calming presence we didn’t even know we needed on our wedding day. She kept everything moving without ever making it feel rushed. When things ran behind, she handled it calmly and adjusted seamlessly. We were able to stay present and enjoy the day because we trusted her completely.”

— A & A

“I wasn’t focused on photography at first, but Sarah made the entire process so comfortable and easy. The day felt natural, not staged, and when we received the gallery, I was honestly amazed. The photos captured the energy of the day without feeling forced.”

— J & B

“Sarah has an incredible ability to read the room. She captured the big moments beautifully, but she also caught the small in-between ones that mean the most to us now. Looking through our gallery feels like reliving the day exactly as it happened.”

— J & L

“The balance between guidance and natural moments was perfect. We never felt pressured to pose or perform, and the gallery reflects the day exactly as it felt — warm, emotional, and timeless.”

If any of this sounds like your kind of energy, let's talk. The best place to start is just a short note — tell me about you two, what you're planning, and what kind of day you're hoping to remember.
